HHS awards $20 million to increase telehealth access

The U.S. Department of Wellness and Human Companies, through the Wellness Sources and Companies Administration, has awarded $20 million to boost telehealth accessibility and infrastructure for providers and family members to enable stop and react to COVID-19.

The cash will assist telehealth providers with cross-state licensure to enhance accessibility to healthcare for the duration of the pandemic.

WHY THIS Matters

The use of telehealth has risen for the duration of the COVID-19 pandemic as patients and providers apply social distancing and the Trump Administration has permitted bigger overall flexibility for its use.
