The Black British Company Awards, now in its seventh 12 months, has announced its 2020 finalists representing some of the country’s best black expertise across a variety of industries.
Released in Britain in 2014, the awards aim to celebrate and recognise “the generally unsung contributions of extraordinary black small business pros and entrepreneurs” in arts and media, client and luxurious, entrepreneurs, monetary solutions, qualified solutions, and STEM (science, technological innovation, engineering and maths).
The finalists this year have been chosen not only for their own and qualified achievements, but against the tumultuous backdrop of the Covid-19 pandemic and the resurgence of the Black Life Issue motion.
Melanie Eusebe and Sophie Chandauka, co-founders known as this year’s finalists “some of the most identified and ground breaking black leaders in the British isles”.
“What notably shines by is the selection of professions from a founder of a revolutionary equine diet procedure to a book publisher and controlling directors at leading monetary businesses. These extraordinary persons should be very very pleased of their achievements, they are inspiring the future generation of black expertise to problem convention and abide by in their footsteps.”
The Telegraph is a media spouse for the awards, the principal sponsors for which involve JP Morgan, Barclays, Baker McKenzie, Bloomberg, Fb, Fortnum and Mason, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and Wells Fargo.
The winners for each class will be announced in the course of a digital awards ceremony on October 2.
