Finger turmeric price improves – The Hindu BusinessLine

The selling price of the finger turmeric variety was amplified on Thursday.

R.K.V. Ravishankar, President, Erode Turmeric Retailers Affiliation explained: “After number of times, great high-quality finger turmeric among the medium variety was arrived in two markets and the traders soon after inspecting the samples, quoted amplified selling price.”

“At the Controlled Advertising Committee the some luggage of finger turmeric selling price amplified by ₹500 a quintal and ₹390 a quintal at the Erode Cooperative Advertising Culture, when compared to former day claimed selling price. Only number of luggage have fetched these types of amplified selling price. In other markets there was no improve in finger turmeric selling price and also root variety in all the markets,” he additional.

Ravishankar explained there is no enhancement in the selling price of turmeric at the Turmeric Futures. The traders are waiting around for clean upcountry demand from customers, as they are now having demand from customers from locals and also from turmeric powder grinding units.

At the Erode Turmeric Retailers Affiliation Profits Property, finger turmeric was marketed at ₹5,456 to ₹6,288 quintal, root variety was marketed at ₹4,569 to ₹5,609 a quintal. Out of one,349 luggage of turmeric that arrived only 559 ended up marketed.

At the Controlled Advertising Committee the finger turmeric was marketed at ₹5,679 to ₹6,729 a quintal, root variety was marketed at ₹4,625 to ₹5,799 a quintal. Of the 827 luggage of turmeric put for sale, 733 luggage ended up marketed.

At the Erode Cooperative Advertising Culture, the finger turmeric was marketed at ₹5,679 to ₹6,459 a quintal, the root variety was marketed at ₹4,821 to ₹5,759 a quintal. Out of 759 luggage, only 677 luggage ended up marketed.
