KRAKOW, Poland—Olga Adamowska grew up with all the trappings of a Catholic childhood in Poland. She was baptized, and her family members, while not really religious, had a Christmas tree every calendar year.
But when she was twelve, she began asking questions about her family members heritage. At some point, her mother instructed her that her grandmother was from a Jewish family members.
