KSE-100 index loses 56.16 points – Mettis Global Link

October 11, 2022 (MLN):  KSE-100 index closed in the red zone by losing 56.16 points (0.13%) to close at 42,155, after oscillating between positive and negative zone.

By the session’s end, the total volumes of the KSE-100 index stood at 151mn shares, up by 8% from 139mn shares traded in Monday’s session.

In terms of sectors, most of the negative contributors were technology, cement, and oil & gas which negatively contributed 147.68 points. On the flip side, the power fertilizer sector closed the session positive, gaining 27.78 points by the day’s end.

Shares of 92 companies were traded on Tuesday, of which 49 recorded a fall, 40 registered an increase, whereas three remain unchanged.

Meanwhile, the volume leaders on the benchmark index were CYNERGY (34.13mn), PAEL (27.37mn), TRG (14.46mn), LOTCHEM (12.64mn), and UNITY (9.92mn).

The stocks that emerged as net losers during the day included: NESTLE (1.20%), RMPL (0.48%), MARI (1.39%), TRG (7.50%), and ATLH (2.02%). On the other hand, the scrips which gained the most during the session included MUREB (6.01%), SRVI (6.27%), ATRL (6.27%), NRL (4.12%), and ABOT (1.29%).
