Tesla has so significantly weathered supply chain constraints pretty properly but it seems like the business-wide challenge is coming back to haunt the company.

Yet, Tesla has continued its report deliveries streak, many thanks to its even handed supply chain management. In the 3rd quarter, the company delivered a report 241,300 cars, beating the consensus estimate of 233,000. It now seems that Tesla could be facing a drag from supply chain challenges.

Some of Tesla cars sent lately have come without having USB-C ports and wireless charging in the entrance heart console, studies recommended, citing social media posts by Tesla customers.

A Twitter consumer heading by the deal with @Dkurac who tweets about Chinese electric car companies said in a tweet Monday that Design three and Design Y cars created soon after November six could not have the set up USB port due to IC/element shortages. He went on to say that the ports will be added in December.

Musk’s reply to a Twitter user’s issue relating to the availability of the Tesla Semi in the wake of PepsiCo CEO’s comments relating to using delivery of the car in the fourth quarter also implies the EV maker is seeing an impression. Musk explained it is not attainable to develop additional cars in quantity until finally chip supply and mobile supply are addressed.

Fourth-quarter manufacturing may perhaps give a hint on regardless of whether the impression will stretch over and above new product introduction and commence to hurt the manufacturing of current styles. Even without having the supply constraints, Tesla is facing a problem of demand outstripping supply.

“Tesla has a significant-class challenge of demand outstripping supply with this challenge now translating into [5-thirty day period to six -thirty day period] delays for Design Ys [and] some Design 3s in distinctive parts of the world,” Wedbush analyst Daniel Ives explained in a current note.
