Blues plans to sue CVS for allegedly inflating generic drug prices
Six Blue Cross Blue Defend insurers have sued CVS Health, trying to find hundreds of thousands of pounds for alleged around-inflated generic drug costs. The Blues programs assert that for around a 10 years, CVS submitted fraudulent promises for payment at artificially inflated costs and hid the real dollars rate of the medicines. CVS submitted fraudulently inflated, usual and customary costs to the programs for prescription medicines obtained by their associates, according to the lawsuit filed by Blues insurers in Alabama, Florida, Minnesota, North Carolina, North Dakota and Missouri.
